What do you all think of homeschooling?

if public schools where you live suck and you can afford to dedicate your days to homeschooling your kids, i feel like you probably have access to good magnet or episcopalian schools with reasonable tuition. i personally think homeschooling is cool in theory but usually incredibly overbearing and counterproductive in practice. children need socialization and exposure to other people and baseline norms. we also live in a society where forgoing codified structure can terminally fuck someone up. let professionals teach your kids how to read, write, and do arithmetic and algebra and put the time and effort and resources into enriching them otherwise and reminding them life isn’t all about school
