What have you always wanted to say or ask gun owners?

I don't think it's possible to have a "responsible gun owner." Given that we know simply having a gun in the home more than double the risk of homicide and triples the risk of suicide, anyone who introduces that into their home is by definition, irresponsible.

For the people who tell me that they're responsible because they keep the gun in a safe, the clip in a drawer, and the bullets buried in the backyard, I want to know why you got a gun in the first place. If you buy a gun for home defense, but keep the gun/ammo separate, you're not going to have enough time to gather everything to protect yourself.

I'd really like to get people's opinions on what they think about "responsible gun ownership."

If you're a hunter/hobbyist, why can't you just keep your gun somewhere other than your home and reduce the risk of death and suicide?

I also want to ask if any of you honestly believe that you'll ever have to use your firearms to defend yourself against a tyrannical government. Really.

Lastly, under what circumstances do you think the government should be allowed to forcibly take away someone's firearms, even if they were legally obtained?
