Calling him an artist is a stretch, but Doug Walker aka The Nostalgia Critic (from Youtube) is an unrepentant jerk.

For those who are unaware, he co-created a website that hosted loads of content creators over the last ten years (ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com which later became ChannelAwesome). He then treated them terribly and also allowed them to be bullied and emotionally abused by Mike Michaud, one of the owners of the website. A document written by multiple content creators was released on Twitter, detailing the years of unprofessional behaviour, mismanagement and even emotional abuse that they had been subjected to by Doug Walker and his co-worker Mike Michaud. I should also mention that Doug and Mike also enbezzled $90,000 from fans which they had donated for "a game show". They were threatened with legal action from indiegogo and then hastily made an episode of a cheap and terrible "game show" which in no way would have cost that much (look it up on YouTube- it's the most cringeworthy thing I've ever seen).

Channel Awesome's official statement was to attempt to debunk the claims, accidentally confirm an allegation about sexual abuse, try to discredit the contributors and then offer a non-apology which said "We sincerely regret that you felt that way". Not once did they ever acknowledge the shitty things they did, or even mention the embezzled $90K.

Since then, there was a mass exodus from Channel Awesome where basically every content creator cut ties with the site and Doug Walker, and he has still refused to comment, apologise or even acknowledge his shitty actions.

I used to be a huge fan of his, watching his videos since 2008, but I unsubscribed and will never look back.
