what an asshole

Oooo yay, I was hoping to strike a chord. Way to generalize that all passenger vehicle drivers must be on their phone. Also, yeah, you're right. I'll try to stop ordering things online, that'll make a dent!

Let's touch on e-commerce a little more. From a quick search, it seems that e-commerce directly accounts for ~20% of all trucking. In that case, that's a poor argument to make. If I happen to find data stating otherwise, I'll update. Let's say that it is a significant portion of the industry. You shouldn't be biting the hand that feeds you. If e-commerce disappeared, I'm sure overly agressive drivers like you would be the first to be layed off.

Driving a truck on an interstate isn't that hard. If you were saying that local driving is the difficult part, I'd be more sympathetic. Considering the lack of education required to be eligible for a CDL, it's clearly not very difficult. Keep the thing in your lane and don't cut off drivers. How about, instead of cutting over to pass the guy going 1mph slower than you, you wait until the grouping of cars clears you. The "mere seconds" argument works both ways, buddy.

It's hard to "get off my phone and drive bitch" when I'm on a 2-lane interstate and the endless line of long-haul trucks don't know how to maintain a uniform speed with each other.
