What is an NFL game that holds a special place in your heart so big that you remember the entire day surrounding that game vividly? What happened on that day?

Great topic on a midweek day with no football.

There are a few games I could pick, Superbowl 50, seahawks rematch in 2014 week 3 after SB48 (we lost but it was a close game) afc championship to go to sb50.

But my first football game by far was my most memorable. Monday night football, October 9th 2006. Denver Broncos vs Baltimore Ravens. Jake Plummer, Rod Smith, Champ Bailey, John Lynch, and Darrent Williams matching up with Steve "air" McNair, Jamal Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, and Ray Lewis.

It was pouring rain the entire game. I was soaked head to toe and so was everyone else but the stadium was LOUD. The score was 6-3 in the fourth quarter with about 6 minutes left and the Ravens were driving, it was 3rd and 7 on the Denver side of the field. Steve McNair looked right and wanted no part of Champ Bailey, the slot was covered by Dominique Foxworth who already had one interception before halftime and went to his left option who was being covered by Darrent Williams. Darrent Williams intercepted the ball and it lead to a Jake Plummer to rod Smith touchdown that essentially won us the game.

After that game I became a huge Darrent Williams fan. Then, at the conclusion of the same season following a loss to San Fran he was murdered in cold blood. It broke my young heart. It still breaks my heart today. But I'll always remember that game.
