What are the advantages of thesis MBA over non-thesis MBA?

Do you want to pursue academia? If so, then thesis track makes more sense. Otherwise, you should be getting an MBA for a career change, its network, or if it is required for advancement (e.g. to become a manager). School definitely matters. If you want to work in the PH after, then do your MBA there. If not or if you have plans to work abroad after, an MBA from Hong Kong or Singapore (e.g. INSEAD or NUS) would be the better choice. Also, B-schools in the PH are absolute garbage in terms of its network and reputation. Education quality is probably good but that is not the point of an MBA. AIM is probably the best business school in the PH--I say this only because McGill (one my target schools) and Schulich do an exchange program there. For me, personally, Canadian schools are my second choice as the American ones have better network and I want to work there after.
