Is it though? I know I'd be happy regardless and I'd still get my money's worth if they did that but I don't think Gamepass alone is enough of a reason to buy a Series S or X for most people (even though that's genuinely why I bought a Series X even though I have a PS5 too).

Also MS is trying to push Gamepass, someone who only has a PS5 most likely isn't going to subscribe to Gamepass if they can just pay 70€ for the game they're interested in.

It's like if Netflix had put their original content on cable television around 2015. Sure, it makes sense if you look at the sales numbers of an individual game but it doesn't make much sense in terms of overall strategy for the ecosystem imo.
