As someone who plays Yu-Gi-Oh, Exodia players. For those who don't know, Exodia is a set of 5 cards popularized by the anime, and if you can get all 5 pieces into your hand at once, you win the game.

Essentially, the Exodia deck tries to draw as many cards as it can on the first turn, and if it can't complete Exodia, it basically loses. It's extremely luck-dependent with low odds of success and involves no player interaction at all, so almost all players use another deck instead.

Exodia players are typically new to the game or were a fan of the anime and Exodia a long time ago, and once they learn that there are computer programs where you can play Yugioh online for free, they build Exodia and proceed to play solitaire against everybody. Some people will just leave online matches against those people because they know they won't play a real game.

So Exodia is probably the "beats headphones" of Yugioh. If you like the original anime series that much, there are lots of new Blue-eyes and Dark Magician cards that are much more competitive and fun to play.
