What are closing weekends like? (first-timer)

Depends on how sober you are. Depends on if you went every weekend. Depends on if your hearr and soul have been trapped by the magic rhat is faire. There are to many variables to say what a closing weekend will be like

My first year as a paytron i was drunk and very sad at final pub sing.

The next year i was a playtron and i was not as drink but just as sad.

The next year i was on cast and sober and sad but kinda glad it was over.

After that it got to "man am i tired, its been a really long 5 months, I'm glad its over. Time to rest." (Rehersals and faire run, faire only being 6 weekends)

When i went professional and was off cast 4 years ago it was "where am i going next? Wait, what weekend is this? Where am i? Can i get a cider now? Its tuesday, yes?

Faire is a personal thing, and we all "feel" and experience it differently. Paytrons feel differently from playtron. Cast/boothie/entertainer, all different, so attitudes will be different closing weekend from others.

Many idiots follow the "fire me sunday" life and dont care closing day if they are being jerks because they figure no one will say anything and the directors/management won't do anything or care.

Others are professional and up until the last person is out the gate will stay in character, maintain the entertainer they are, etc.

That to will affect you and you feelings about the faire.

If this is a closing weekend for you, i hope it is a glorious weekend full of laughter, happiness and wonderful memories. And i hope you get to travel to other faires and have a good time there too!!!
