The Duran Empire

The iron hand of the Durans extends far and wide across the expanse of space, keeping a vice grip over dozens of worlds - both lively and dead. An authoritarian regime, the Duran Empire enslaves and slaughters any race it comes across in the name of territorial gains. The rest of the known galaxy is in a defensive war against them, and only time will tell if their rule is meant to stay.

The Haeclymian Confederation

Spanning twenty-two habitable worlds and over three-hundred nations, the Haeclymian Confederation is the second-largest empire in its corner of the galaxy. The Haeclymian Confederation maintains diplomatic communications with smaller sovereign groups, such as the Ordamieans, Buedens, Tleccians, Psonals, and the Ywaua. A constitutional monarchy, the Confederation operates through the will of the people, and while it too has its issues, it may very well be the only defense for sovereign states against the onslaught of the Durans.

The Organized Tleccian Endeavor

The OTE holds jurisdiction over some twelve habitable worlds and represents the interests of the Tleccian upper class. The individual nations of the OTE's members are much less countries than they are nigh-lawless territories, consisting of large masses of peasantry subject to the whims of the Tleccian autocrats. Occasionally some members of the OTE will declare war on one another, though this is usually done as a method of developing jingoism and population control efforts.

The Psonal Commune

Caught in a perilous battle for their homeworld of Psona, the world's Psonal governments have declared an emergency military government to see the Psonals through the war, the "Psonal Commune". With assistance from the Haeclymian Confederation, relocation efforts are underway to establish a Psonal presence on other worlds; so far three colonies have been made habitable. While the Psonals pledge their support to the Confederation to end the Duran Campaigns, they would prefer to remain sovereign.
