What are internship opportunities like at UCR?

First and foremost, congrats on graduating! I totally get the bittersweet feeling, but it's definitely an accomplishment to be proud of. Whats next, if you don't mind me asking? Grad school? Finding work?

Secondly, thank you. That was a way better response than I was expecting. I know my post probably came off a little hesitant, for lack of a better word, but I am grateful for the chance to go to school there. Considering all of the applications, rejection/acceptance letters, and the large aspect of uncertainty towards whats to come next - it's all been fairly anxiety-inducing. So there's definitely a sense of relief now. That said, I definitely did/do have some reservations about UCR, but your post seriously help put a lot of that at ease.

Thanks for the heads up on the career fairs/center. I definitely plan on taking advantage of every resource the school has to offer (especially since the CC I'm currently isn't really all that great in those aspects).

I think you can gain valuable experience through any organization.

Agreed 100%. I've worked full time since I was still in high school, so I've been fortunate enough to gain a lot of experience up to this point. I'll be leaving my current employer once I transfer to UCR, so that's kind of what stemmed the reasoning for this post. It'll be my first time being unemployed since I was like a junior in high school, so I was curious as to what the landscape is going to look like for me in Riverside (in both internship and non-internship work).

Just get out there, do your research, and be POSITIVE. seriously. be. positive.

I will. Thanks again! Your post helped more than you know.
