Politics. Lurker here but just HAD to comment. I'm a Filipino and as a lot of you may have already heard, our president is insanely volatile. Aside from worrying about my country's future, I also have to contend with people who just refuse to acknowledge this fact no matter what. For example, just the other day he declared economic and military separation from the US. Now half my Facebook feed is full of his supporters going "Before you blast the president, see what he really meant!" sharing the same link that quotes him as saying "I don't want to completely sever ties with the US". Which is completely besides the question re: severing economic and military ties.

Now I'll admit that he has his good points but for every one of them, he seems to have 10 bad ones. More than anything though, what worries me the most is how heavily mired a majority of the population are in their cognitive biases that I don't see us doing anything about this before it's too late. Years of progress about go down the drain for nothing /r
