What are the names you gave to your forged weapons and why?

I got pretty high one day when I was replaying PoR last year and forged a max-crit slim sword for Mia. I paused for only a second to think of a name...and suddenly one appeared in my mind. An alternate universe sister-blade to that of another swordmaiden we all know well...that sliced a hefty portion off the top of my gold reserves.

I'm convinced I'll never be able to think up another name as good as that one. That shit got sent down from the Nine Divines or something. Eventually it wore out and by then I'd gotten the gamble skill for Mia. I'd noticed that using it vs. most enemies would often balance out her hit and crit rates so they were both in the 70s. I grew to really enjoy this concept of swordmasters constantly rolling for 7s on every attack as it highlights both the luck-based nature of swordmasters as well as the statistic concept of 77% and how it's viewed differently based on perspective: you see a 77% hit chance and worry about how it's not a sure thing and there's still a somewhat appreciable chance of missing, but then you see the same 77% in the crit window and are like "fuck yeah look at that crit chance!" I named her next sword Lucky 7 to commemorate that idea, and the number 7 kind of became a recurring theme to use for future swords whenever I was unsure of a name.

When I played RD after that I made a crit-boosted iron sword in part 1 called Cash 4 Critz for my boy Fast Eddie. "Come on down to Fast Eddie's Crit Emporium, we've always got fresh crits to hand out if you have the cash to back it up!" It served him well.

I made another Money Cutty for Mia to use in part 3, then in part 4 when Ed's Caladbolg was starting to wear down I made a max-mt silver sword colored gold and named it Cash 4 Bolg. Honestly that one was kind of a waste though since I didn't realize I'd be getting FE10 soon after.

In Awakening, my character "...uh...you" was the first one to get armsthrift, and thus the first character I started making badass forges for. I decided it'd be a character quirk that he named all his swords, which quickly expanded to naming his tomes as well. The first one was a killing edge. I had enough money to burn to bring it up to 42 crit chance, and decided to name it Six by 7 to fit the math and continue the tradition. Next I crit-boosted the Levin Sword I got from Gangrel and flipped the L to make it the 7evin Sword. I fell in love with Katarina's Bolt not long after that and knew I had to forge it up and give it a name. "Thunderstruck" was the first thing to come to mind but that was too generic. Where's the flair? How about "Boltingstruck" instead? Damn, one letter too long. And thus, Boltinstruck was born.

Much later in the game I'd round out ...uh...you's (it's much funnier in second person) arsenal with a brave sword named Tetrastrike and a Celica's Gale named Jetstream. But the best part was when I realized that apparently naming swords is a hereditary trait when my character wifed Lissa and finally picked up Owain. I seriously didn't even know about his penchant for naming every weapon he could see beforehand but that shit was fucking DESTINY. His first forge was a killing edge named Handsfury, then I gave him a generic unforged steel sword named Trustrally as a filler weapon to use when he was in pairup or vs. weak enemies where extra damage wasn't needed (his armsthrift rate wasn't really foolproof at this point). Then I passed down the 7evin Sword as my character didn't really need it anymore and a swordmaster is so much better with 1-2 range, plus his strength and magic were almost equal due to Lissa's stats from having gone sage > valkyrie. A brave sword named the Harkedge was the final forge for his inventory. His endgame loadout is Handsfury, 7evin Sword, Harkedge, Sol, and then either Leif's Blade or Mystletainn depending on how serious the fight is.
