Hi! I’m looking into nursing informatics. I would be honored if you could help mentor me even if it means just replying to this message! I got a little bit over 1 year at a busy med surg telemetry unit. It’s super understaffed, and I don’t have any regulated breaks. So I’m extremely burnt out already, mentally and physically. I actually enjoy when I can sit down and chart. I want to do more of a sit down type of job and work with a computer than with patients for the majority of the day. I have a bsn right now. Can you tell me what you recommend on how I can get my first nursing informatics job? I don’t know if I want to get my msn until after I secure a job. Most requirements here in ca don’t require msn also.
