What are the pros and cons of Brexit? Also, how did the idea come into fruition?

I don't personally see many pros to Brexit. In terms of Britain's time as a powerhouse, I think it's perfectly polite to say we're now "in the winter of our life" in that department and so I'm not a massive fan of some of the ideologies that leaving the EU will in some way miraculously take Britain's economic clout back to the industrial revolution. I think the contrary will prove a lot closer to the case and I think a lot of us are going to really struggle with accepting that.

Yes, there are notions that the EU wants to become a super state but it's an increasingly global world, the EU has actually been very accommodating of Britain's generally more autonomous approach to its membership and it's just of no sense to intentionally self isolate from something that mostly works - and to what unknown gain? Probably one of very little benefit to the actual citizens of Britain.
