What are some best arguments for eugenics?

It really depends on what you mean by best, and also what you mean by eugenics. I may sound facetious but this is really important to define before diving into it

Ultimately when it comes to eugenics you have to make a value judgement about which genes are good and bad and you also have to the moral system that backs it up, as ultimately the only way to achieve eugenics is through not letting certain genes through to the next generation.

So I guess are we talking about eugenics as it comes to what we are capable of in the present or more “if we had a magical machine that got rid of all the genes that cause cancer would it be moral/immoral to use it”
