are you implying this situation is unique to men, therefore causes a double standard? an example of a double standard is: the acceptance of casual sex amongst men but not women. 2 different standards for the same situation. 1) sexual assault happens to both sides and 2) is widely considered to be awful and unacceptable. it would be a double standard if only one side had people justifying, accepting, committing, and/or promoting sexual assault in this manner, but that just isnt true. a double standard for this situation could be: men are dissuaded to disclose or report sexual assault because sex is celebrated and encouraged amongst men. while men and women have a lot of different problems on reporting sexual assault, sex encouragement and celebration is not a problem with women in this situation.
