What are some cultural differences between the Levant, Khaleej, and Maghreb??

To give some perspective as an اجنبي who spent some time working in a refugee camp with people from different regions.

Levantines

didn't notice any difference between the different levantine nationalities, syrian, palestine etc. People were very polite, affectionate, emotional and generous. At times demanding, clingy, childish and moody, especially for a westerner from a highly individualist culture. Quite conservative, frowned upon stealing, drinking, drugs etc. and usually (not always) held beliefs and practices that would be considered misogynistic in the west, but only for other Arab women, for example Arab women weren't allowed hang out or eat with the men but western women were treated closer to how we would in the west. That said, there were plenty of very liberal people. Accent just sounds normal except a strong Aleppo accent which is hilarious.

Iraqis

similar to Levantines but a bit rougher around the edges, louder, etc. A bit more conservative in general but conversely more Iraqis seemed willing to abandon their conservative culture. Very jovial and more informal than Syrians. Very funny accent.

Maghrebis

Quite a different demographic so maybe not representative. Much more westernised. Men and women would hang out together, etc. but also much more likely to bother girls, more because they think it's funny than out of conservatism. Generally very friendly but not polite, they curse a lot and nearly the entire camp pcked up Algerian curse words despite Maghrebis being a small minority of people. Into "gangster" culture, Drink a lot, smoke a lot, steal a lot, which shocked many of the Syrians. Listen to more western music, french rap etc. and Algerian music seems very influenced by French, Spanish and Italian music. Dress like Europeans, especially french "racailles". Accent is incredibly strange and beautiful. Even before I spoke a word of Arabic I could tell the difference between Maghrebis and Levantines. It never gets old and is delightful on the ear.

Didn't meet any Khalijis except for one bidoon from Kuwait. Met a few Yemenis but not enough to know their culture. Met some Egyptians who mostly seemed similar to Levantines.
