What are some fitness and health tips?

After reading some of the responses to this question, I saw that many people tried to give advice that was very brief and short term. One of these comments were "Stop drinking soda and sugary drinks because you are drinking calories and it’s not good.". I would consider this as the "Simple conclusions drawn from a complex study" flag. I believe this is something that is true and can help in the long run, but the science behind cutting back on sugary drinks is way more complex than what this person put out. Next I saw a post that read "Eat less, exercise more.". I think this could be flagged as "Recommendations that promise a quick fix". Many people feel that it is all about diet and exercise, which does help a lot, but it is not as simple as that. With a recommendation like this, people will begin to eat way less than they should and they may lose some weight fast, but their bodies will eventually plateau.
