this isn't true. university matters a lot, having Harvard or Princeton on your resume really makes a difference.
I went to university, many other billionaire CEO's all went to university, most have lots of education including masters etc.
I'm not sure what fantasy you live in where you think school doesn't matter, it's a big part of developing as a person.
the greatest universities open doors that other universities wouldn't open. I'll give you a terrible example. but I own a company, a startup right now, and we have one investor, a friend. I don't let friends investor, for family because it's too much hassle and not worth it. but because he's a Princeton grad, he gets to invest. because others will hear and say "oh his investors this smart Princeton guy, we should invest" . it just helps with optics.
these optics stay with you for life if you attend a top school.
but don't rely on school to determine who you are. you'll need to explore that end of the wick on your own. work hard, play nice.
