When I use the word "miracle" I'm not implying an act of a God, or magical, supernatural event. This should be obvious. If I truly had Faith or Religion, my answer would be "God" of course. Ask anyone who has religious beliefs. They will tell you.
All religions and faiths, passed down, amended, and dutifully inscribed, were originally created as mankind's only acceptable answer to this question.
Here I will attempt to exclude religion's influence while proposing that there is reason to live.
No faith. No Religion. No God.
No Blessings from Heaven. No punishments from Hell . No wings, no fluffy homes in the sky, no virgins. No Hellfire or Pitchforks. No spirits, ghosts, demons, poltergeists, or hauntings. No Angel on your shoulder. The Devil didn't make anyone do anything, ever.
Without Faith, we must accept that, as individuals, our existence is ** ***finite.* Which means, this is it - our first and last chance - to live.
This is very hard to accept, Ask any alcoholic, or addict. Ask a corporation.
One day - maybe tonight - maybe ?? years from now, each and every last one of us, will cease to be. The energy that is you, your "soul" will be no more, forever.
Our existence is an miracle impossibilty. Against all odds. Very unlikely.
I mean if you look at all of the barren and inhospitable enviroments that exist here on Earth, and throughout the Universe, our being here is beyond all odds. What an incredible impossibilty it is to be a life form that has the ability to reason.
Truly, this is an incredible, one time offer, with infinite possibilities, at no cost to participants.*
Personally, my opinion is that life is equally as profound and meaningful, as it is futile and pointless. Individually and collectively all of us are insignificant to the universe. The entire planet could crash into the sun, and there would be no one to even notice.
Luckily, hopefully, that won't happen. Most of us won't die tonight. Tomorrow the Sun will rise, we will have enough air to breathe, and plenty of food to eat. How lucky can anyone be?
