So it’s a pain in the hoop to magically conceal a car. But you know what’s a whole lot easier? Putting a grid phantasm of something else in front of the car. Me and my team were pinned down by some folks that we really didn’t like by this point. Vows of revenge and some hurtful comments about mothers had been exchanged. They had the advantage in armor and guns, but the rigger was on the way and we only needed to last a bit more. So I made an imaginary heavy weapons crew come around the corner, laying down suppressive fire from three different MMGs. The things were loud and being fired by some huge trolls and I put everything I had into that spell so there was no second guessing it. Well the folks shooting all hit the ground and kissed dirt. They couldn’t hear over the machine guns or see past the trolls. So it was a complete, if very brief surprise, when a couple seconds later a truck suddenly emerged through the machine gunners and ran right over the drekheads. Me and the rigger were real good friends after that one. It wasn’t the last time we played around with combining machines and illusions, but it was definitely the most effective.
