By the way, there was no such thing as the police before the 19th century, not the 18th.

this whole argument that there weren't police forces in the past before that is not accurate, as long as you consider "police" to be any body of people who engage in law enforcement. and how is that pro-cop? I don't understand how saying something along the lines of "the idea of law enforcement goes far back into history" is a pro-cop statement.
