I got a DM from a random redittor last year. Using my post history he was able to determine what city I was in, the neighborhood I lived in, my make and model of car, and the name of my dog.

He sent me a screen capture from Street View of my home. He said he was able to find it by browsing the neighborhood looking for my car (it’s an unusual one) and complemented my dog by name. It was eye-opening, to say the least.

He was also kind enough to explain how he had accomplished this and admonished me to clean up my post history and be more careful in the future. I was lucky that this person had good intentions and I was appreciative though creeped out.

I took his advice and downloaded a command line tool to erase a huge chunk of my post history from Reddit. This is why my post & comment history don’t match up to the imaginary internet points I’ve accrued over the years.
