What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of May 18, 2018)

I'm a big science fiction fan, and I've recently started searching a bit further afield than I normally would in order to find what I might have missed in the last few years. Here's what I found using this method:

1) Travelers. Minds of future apocalypse survivors are sent into bodies in the present just prior to someone's recorded death. The Travelers then use that body to work on altering history to avoid the apocalypse. I give it a solid 6-7 out of 10.

2) Timeless. The first polished time ship is stolen by a terrorist who attempts to mess with American history. A black male engineer, a white female historian, and a white male soldier take the prototype ship in pursuit to protect history. It has a major conspiracy plot (which, as tends to happen, involved the conspiracy being omniscient and always just getting away), but otherwise it's pretty good and fun. The history (prior to meddling) is pretty accurate, and they also deal with being black or female in America prior to 1970 seriously but don't weigh down the show with it. It has two seasons and probably won't see a third, but the second season cliffhanger also serves as a decent send-off for the show in my opinion. I give this one something just over a 5/10.

3) Extinct. Aliens wipe out humanity. A soccer ball sized robot and some glowing particles suspended in water re-create three humans from the available materials in a lake. Those three try to find out why, how, and by whom they were re-created while defending against other humans who have been taken over by intelligent parasites living on the backs of their neck. This is another one I'd give a 5-6/10. The concept is interesting but the execution is obviously budget-limited and I personally don't care much for the flashbacks to present-day Earth.
