What are your fandom-specific Unpopular Opinions™ that make you feel out-of-step with your fandom?

The trans Luisa takes bug me a lot, because a lot of latina women are stereotyped as 'overly masculine' and 'manly' by racists. I know the people who headcanon Luisa as trans aren't coming at it from that standpoint and aren't aware of the stereotypes and charged history. But a lot of the reasoning behind that headcanon I've come across falls into those same racist tropes.

I don't begrudge fellow LGBTQIA+ people for trying to find representation out of nothing, especially with how horrible Disney has been with providing tangible representation. And I can see why people from individualistic cultures might hate Abuela. However I beg people, especially fellow white people, to understand that you cannot broadly apply your own lived experience onto another culture and expect it to fit 1 to 1.

You need to examine cultural contexts before blindly diving into headcanons - because like with the justifications often given for Luisa being trans, you could very easily brush up against some really nasty implications without meaning to do so.
