What are your favorite free plug-ins or vst instruments?

Again, that thread was actually about DAWs and not vsts. I posted too quickly.

Going back over a year in the search result I don't see ANY threads asking about free vst recommendations. If it gets asked a lot, it's not necessarily easy to search for and find now.

These questions are only repetitive to people who no-life these forums and are here every day reading every thread. They're useful to people who browse occasionally when they're looking for information.

If these threads are so repetitive I welcome you to cite a few of them for the benefit of people like the op, or myself. Crying "repost" doesn't benefit anybody. ESPECIALLY when searching for similar threads with common keywords doesn't yield any results.
