Are you talking about that style of building in general or are you asking specifically about apartments with exclusive use of these spaces?

In vienna we have two types of buildings like that - single big buildings surrounding a courtyard, mostly Gemeindebauten (municipal housing) from the 20s and 30s, they really loved that style. They don't build places like that anymore. The other style is the much more common multiple buildings around one courtyard. New developments like that also aren't built anymore but if a single building is replaced it's generally in the same style.

I've lived in both and can't complain.
