What are your products for fine/thin or low-density hair?

Hey there, I've experimented alot and I can tell you that porosity is a big factor too (as well as density/thickness). If you have the kind of hair that frizzes up alot in humidity, you may also be wanting control.

I've found less is more, tiny tiny amounts, I'm talking lentil/pea sized amounts of product!

Ok with those things being said, my top recommendations:

Styling:

Ok so I haven't loved mousse, I find it very drying and just a bit meh (tried NYM curltalk and herbal essences totally twisted). Definitely found the NYM one to be preferrable to H.E.

I do love a bit of gel, don't use it every wash day but it does work for me. I've tried the Jessicurl gel and it's a little bit too much control if that makes sense. LA looks was awful for me (I think it just holds in way too much moisture for my high porosity hair) - was alot like devacurl light defining gel and would look good initially but bad after a few hours. I used the Aussie instant freeze (new version) and I didn't love it but it wasn't bad either. My winner is the Umberto Gianni curl jelly - always have really good hair days with this.

What about for curl enhancement or light creams. This is probably my favourite kind of styler, I love wavemaker (and sometimes still use it despite the controversy). The Cantu curl activator surprised me and works pretty great for my hair, I love the smell too. If I want some more body the OGX curl defining cream + diffusing, though it does buildup.

Misc favourites: I love the bumble & bumble invisible oil primer, this works great for me if I want to airdry and have touchable defined curls.

In the shampoo/cond category I want to give an honorable mention to curl junkie. Especially their gentle lather shampoo, and beauticurls argan oil conditioner.

Volume - if you find anything please let me know. I hate the idea of spraying dry shampoo on my roots and having tonnes of buildup and needing to wash with a heavy shampoo to get it off. Innersense I create volume did not work for me at all..
