TL;DR best friend chose a guy over me; came back as year later
around the beginning of 2015 this girl became my best friend. she was basically always rude to me before, and I didn't really even acknowledge her. Me and my friends were sitting together and she came to talk to them since she's known them since elementary. my friend says something(I forgot what) and she says I'm her best friend. 5 minutes later I go up to her and say, "lemme see your phone. I should give you my number since we're best friends." She seemed very shy at that point. Never really saw that side of her before. 5 minutes later she comes back to me and asks for my phone and puts her number in mine; again, she seemed shy.
I text her the next day and we seriously became the bestest of friends. We could talk about anything and everything.
It started getting different after that. We would cuddle and I would kiss her on the cheek and on her forehead. she would act annoyed, but my friends and I almost always saw her smile immediately afterwards. Fast forward another month and I got ignored by a girl I had been talking to for 3 years. So, I tell my best friend, "hey, let's go watch Cinderella, I'm bored. I'll pick you up in an hour." I had to ask her mom for permission and she said only because I asked her first(I was confused cause she was acting like it was a date.) and we went to watch it.
we walked all over the shopping center(it's like an outside mall on the rich part of town. Very nice) and go into stores and we buy Starbucks and then we go into the theater. I have her head resting on my chest and we're playing with each others fingers throughout the movie. we didn't really say anything during the movie; just enjoying the moment ig.
now, before this point I didn't really even like her. I was extremely confident. I mean, I had 18 year old girls omd at 14/15 and the girl I was talking to at the time was the girl everyone wanted, but could never get. i was the one who was going to get her.
Okay, so back to the story. The movie finishes, we go outside and grab something to eat, were basically having a lot of fun. Then I kept getting snapchats and FaceTime calls from the other girl, who keep in mind was only playing me and had ignored me for a week. She was mad cause I went to the movies w/ my best friend. (I posted a couple pics on my SC story)
So, my mom was picking us up cause I was only 15 and didn't have a license and idk why but she got out of the car and saw me kiss her on the cheek and started smiling like a mug.
we get in the backseat and do the same as we were doing in the theater and I put on "Objects In The Mirror" by Mac Miller and we vibe to it. soon as we were pulling up to her house, I get a bunch of texts from the other girl that she's going to kill her or some shit.
I tell her it's over and to move on.
Best friend and I were basically going out after that, but she was still talking to one guy and I had totally forgotten about him since I was so caught up in the moment with her. She tells me she doesn't know who to choose and I tell her I wasn't going to make her choose(worst decision ever) and she chose the other guy.
we go to the volleyball game 30 mins later and I'm just laying my head on her shoulder the whole time with my eyes closed. I go home and she texts me after saying she feels terrible and all that stuff.
I tell her it's over too.
A week later, the guy drops her and she tried to come back to me, I tell her no.
Keep in mid this was around the end of March. we go our separate ways but commented stupid insults under our IG pics since we always did that before.
In the middle of January 2016 she starts hmu and I ask her why she's doing this. We've been FaceTiming each other almost every day since. I'm not sure if I want to start something with her again, but we'll see how our friendship is now ig.
