What are your thoughts on the media representation of gay men?

Pretty much the same way I do with any other disenfranchised minority finally getting their representation in the media. Some of it is good, some of it is bad.

One thing that I've wanted to see for awhile now is lgbtq+ characters who aren't afraid to fight back and give homophobes in shows the karma they deserve. The most recent and one of the few examples I've seen of that is Jules from Euphoria, in the 1st episode where she fights back/threatens a guy who basically assaults her. I understand the need to show examples of how people in are community are unfairly persecuted and discriminated against, but we need more examples showing that we aren't afraid to fight back just as hard or harder than the people who come after us simply for being who we are.
