WWE is meant to be silly. And supernatural characters are not out of place in WWE. They belong there. I am convinced all these marks wanting a "real sports feel" would never be able to survive previous eras with the silly stuff that happened back then.

NXT sucks and they try to be edgy for the sake of edgy. Also, spooky/dark gimmicks that aren't supernatural won't ever work. Which is why Aleister Black failed. Spooky entrance, but no powers. So he's an edgelord. A normal human trying to be edgy, not a supernatural being for whom it makes sense to have a spooky presentation. Throw Crazy Nikki, "Demon Finn" aka the powerless demon etc in there too. Is it a coincidence they are all from NXT? And hell, even Corbin had a darker presentation down there.
