What are your views of long distance relationships?

Adding my personal stories.

I had around 4 long distance relationships before.

First guy and I were definitely smitten with each other; he was basically my first love. One day, I had disappeared (internet connection cut off for around a year). Came back, and he had gotten over everything and was a completely different person. We dated around 9 months.

Second guy was a friend of mine for 3 years prior. He was always begging me for a chance so I gave him one. We lasted 2 months before he ended up cheating right in front of my face. He initially denied it, but then admitted it. Hated him for 2 years. We are okay now; we don't talk and he is completely different as well.

Third guy was completely a predator, but I couldn't tell until it hit me one day. He was basically grooming me for future use. One day after school, I ended up dumping him and he was blindsided and tried to ruin my reputation. We dated for over a year.

The fourth guy was someone I had known years prior as well; one of my friends reconnected us. He turned out to be completely psychotic. We dated 11 months I think? We are still best friends since he chilled the fuck out.

Guy three hated guy four, and guy two hated guy three. Lol. But I didn't even care. And would I ever do it again? No.
