What are your worst/best experiences with hospitals?

The best experience i have from a hospital was during my stay in thailand. I was very ill after gotten bitten by a real sinister mosquito who, knowing that it carried the dengue virus, still attacked me like a wild dog attack the old neighbours poor, deaf cat. It really went for me, sticking its part inside of me and thus making me a new carrier for this vicious virus.

Needless to say i was not feeling at my best. After having stayed one night in a little house made of dirt, with a nurse patting my very feverish forehead with a wet towel throughout the night, all while looking at me with eyes that said goodbye, may you rest in peace, i got transferred to a bigger hospital at koh samoi.

I still didnt know what was wrong with me, just that my limbs didnt really work as intended, eventhough i hadnt had a single bucket of thailands liquid gold, samsong whiskey. It felt like my body was deciding wheter or not to throw in the towel or fight a few more days. I tried to convince it by pouring good stuff inside of it, as a token of my appreciation since i was worried it might have been the liquid gold that made my body thinking about killing me in the first place. So i drank water, lots of it. I drank liquid-replacements (not sure what its called in english, but in swedish they're called "Hungover"). My body was having none of it, every good deed i dedicated to it got violently rejected through spasms that pushed liquid through every hole in my body.

In a, rare, clear moment i realized that this is not alcoholic poisioning, i know that feeling and this is not it. So, laying there in my hospital bed i went to my lonely planet book for answers. Going though all the shit that can fuck you up in thailand i realized that this might not be simple food poisoning either, eventhough the rapidly exiting liquid from both my anus and my mouth, which tried to exit so quickly that some of it took the detour through my nose, would suggest food poisoning.

I went down the list of sicknessess til i read "Japanese
