What is the average cost of UNR for a year?

From Nevada, also first gen, currently majoring in Civil Engineering on my sophomore year, I’ve averaged at around 4,500 each semester, about 9000 year. (It splits pretty perfectly if you start your degree with the classes you SHOULD start with. Also, keep in mind I’m not sure if this is similar for other majors but the most expensive years, according to my major catalog, are sophomore year and freshmen year.

I don’t live on campus so I wouldn’t know about other expenses but just as a basic cost for in-state you get a pretty good deal.

If money is tight you could also try setting up some classes with TMCC, it’s just north of UNR and it gives transferable credits for pretty cheap. So classes like “Core Humanities” (basically different forms of history classes) are online and cheap at TMCC and they tend to be a requirement for most majors.

You could also try checking which major your looking for because I know some of my friends in other majors don’t take as much classes as me. (The less classes you take the cheaper the degree)
