What became so popular at your school that the teachers had to ban it?

God, here we go. A long, LONG time ago, when I was in middle school, they banned fortune tellers. You know, those stupid little paper ones kids would make out of sticky notes when there was nothing else to do? Yeah, well, instead of writing actual fortunes on the inside, you know, like NORMAL KIDS WOULD, they drew faces on them and pretended to act out scenarios- like paper dolls. This is where the issue started. One girl literally made so many of them that her locker OVERFLOWED with these things. Not the entire locker, obviously... But enough for you to know that she had an issue with collecting them. It was no longer ironic. And the worst part? Each one had a name and “personality” (she’d do different voices with them). She was ATTACHED to them. They were like her children. Well, as soon as my principal heard about her, she had the entire locker cleared out and everyone was given a stern warning about making the fortune-teller people. People literally made them and left them EVERYWHERE. I couldn’t go ANYWHERE in my stupid little middle school without seeing at least five in the hall. So eventually, my school officials just up and banned them. Kids were so attached to these dumb sticky-note “people” that after the ban was put in effect they’d crowd in the bathrooms to make them. That didn’t last long at all. Now, every time I see a tiny sticky-note/index card/whatever fortune teller, that’s all that comes to my mind.
