Man, I remember I pissed off one of the "balance bracelet" salesmen in the mall.

He was selling to a crowd and me and my fiancee passed by. I stopped when we got to his kiosk because I was a little amazed that they let these people set up a kiosk.

I see him doing one of his snake oil demonstrations on a girl in front of a crowd of maybe 7 or so people. He turns to me since he saw me just walk up and asks if I would like to see how it worked. I said "No, thanks" and was going to leave it at that, but he kept at it so I was like "No man... It's cool I know how they work".

Then he decided it was a smart move to call me out on it. Like... C'mon man, I've been hinting at you to just drop it.

So I tell his little crowd how it was fake. "That's not how ions work. he keeps saying negative ions are throwing you off balance only because you link the word negative with bad. No this won't cure arthritis like he said... Or speed metabolism (That's what he was doing. If you were old he would say arthritis. If you were fat he'd say it boosted metabolism). The hologram in the bracelet does none of that. Actually if you look on your credit cards they have holograms on them... No different."

His response was "Ok so what are you some kind of scientist?"

I said "No, I'm just not an idiot"

God this next bit sounds so cheesy. But I guess a bit of his crowd left and by this time I had turned to walk to the next store when he yelled out "Thanks for fucking up my sale BRO!". I can't remember from the rush of what just happened but I think I replied "no problem BRO" or something along those lines.

I think I told it with better details closer to when it happened, but I don't feel like wading through 3 years of my comments to find it.
