I used to work at a Disney Store in London this time, last year. It was a wonderful place to work for but some employees & management was total dogshit to work with but overall it was an nice experience to work there.

One of the coolest benefits of working there, was the discounts. 35% of anything. I abused that discount as much as I could to buy gifts for families for Christmas. However, because the busiest time of the year had ended, they decided to let me go, really due to them being stingy & I couldn’t stand the managers at all who would give me unreasonable shifts and treated me like shit so I already decided to leave anyway. Most of the employees, even the new ones thought I would be here for a long time but unfortunately it didn’t happen.

So after I left, I always thought that if I still had the benefits of the discount since all you have to do to apply the discount, is to just type your iD number on the till. So I decided to go to a different Disney Store, (which the people there are MUCH nicer) to buy a few things for one of my family members. I asked if I could use my discount since I know my number and was an employee and they happily said yes. So maybe for life, I get to use my discount anytime I want. This might be something small but it saves me a ton of money. (E.G. Total could be £230, apply 35% discount which comes down to £150 so I save £80 which is massive!)
