what is the best Strategy for organizing parcels on rural CBU routes?

Hm I guess my comment didn't go through or something.

Anyway get a new line of travel printed. No reason they shouldn't be able to do that if the regular is still getting the case updated with new labels via edit book. The line of travel should be updated with the number of deliveries on it as well (since this also counts toward evaluated time on the 4240), unless the route hasn't been counted in eons. It might be something you can talk with a union rep about if they refuse.

Yes, hopping out of the llv to check the addresses can take some time, but once you've run a route a couple times you should be able to get the hang of it, too. And besides, taking all this extra time at the office isn't doing you any favors. But if you're marking your parcels in the same manner as your mail/sprs I still don't see any reason why you should be confusing them; use the mail/sprs as guidance on how to load up your truck.

As far as nbus being labeled on the outside, it may just be more of a common thing here.

So really it's not that I don't understand what you're saying, but it does seem like you're making excuses as to why it can't possibly work.
