What is the best way to buy silver for investment purposes?

Not an expert in safes. Everyone has an opinion. I recommend spending more than your budget would allow to get a good safe. Most safes in the price range of normal guys like us are designed to keep the opportunistic grab-n-dash street corner crook from having an easy mark. Unless we are going in to the 5k and up, all safes are 'crackable' with time and pry bar. What we're looking for is making a very hard target that is not easy and will take tools and time - something the normal robber doesn't have.

What I look for: Fire rating Heavy enough that two or three guy can't move it Multiple locking pins and either inset or heavy hinges Heavier than avg gauge Anchorable - an anchored safe is much harder to pry open

Generally, a good rule of thumb is to remember that loose lips sink ships. Neighbors, friends, family shouldn't know about your safe or what is in it. Buy from sellers that package discretely.

This is an entry level safe and I personally don't like electronic mechanisms, but it would do the job.

Please understand, I'm just a guy with a little background in safety and security. Not a safe expert. I've investigated plenty of successful and botched robberies and a multi-layered approach to security is best...with a safe being just one layer.
