Slightly beyond the question, but... Back in senior year of high school, a group of buddies and I used to go to the local drag strip. I had this big crush on a girl who had already graduated but would come back on weekends. I knew she liked cars and racing so I asked her if she wanted to go with me, and she made it abundantly clear that she would like to go but strictly as a friendly venture. So we head out toward the races when a freak thunderstorm comes out of nowhere (it happens a lot in Texas). Obviously the night at the track is cancelled so we make our way back home. The city we live in floods very easily. I ask her if I can pop into Blockbuster to rent a movie to watch when I get home and she looks at me puzzled but agrees. So I run in, pick out a romantic movie, and get back to the car. The skies have split wide open at this part and the rain is pouring. I give my "best effort" to make it to her house but the weather is just too bad so I pull under a drive through bank for cover (which was entirely calculated). I tell her we need to wait there and she agrees. So we start talking. She's a car chick, loves my car, etc. I tell her that the back seat is more comfortable and she laughs. I insist, then pull out a blanket and the movie. I proceed to pop the movie into the radio (had one of those 7" screens) and crawl into the back seat. After a brief moment, she joins me. We proceed to cuddle in the back seat of my car, watching a movie on a tiny screen in the dash, surrounded by the pouring rain. It was very cute, in my mind at least, and she must have agreed because we stayed there until long after the rain let up. We dated for almost 3 years.
