Throwaway! My mom works for Patagonia.

They’re actually turning really corporate. They don’t pay a lot of their employees a living wage and are beginning to cut benefits/perks. Whoever said they give you paid time off for trips, not really. They’ll give you time off but you only get paid for it if you have vacation time. They also try to force out the “old timers” that have been there since it was a company for dirtbag climbers.

They’re still better than a lot of companies, but considering how they project this image of caring so deeply about their employees, they sure do a lot to say the opposite. Especially when they funnel money into environmental causes but a lot of their employees can’t afford to pay their rent :)
