What can an everyday person do to help combat global warming?

Reduce plastic use and instead use reusable containers for meal prepping, grocery shopping, produce, and even take your own coffee mug and/or straw to coffee shops

Carpool and drive less in general. If possible I try to pool my errands into a single day so I drive less than if I made single trips to each place every day

Grow your own food and herbs. Compost food waste and paper shreds to help your garden grow big and strong OR buy local produce from Farmers markets

Recycle anything and everything that is recyclable. If it's not recyclable, try to find ways to reuse it

Buy in bulk. Instead of buying a bag of flour or a plastic bag full of rice, take your own container to places that have bulk food dispensers

Go thrifting. You can find mugs, dinnerware, clothing, shoes, etc etc etc. Avoid fast fashion such as Forever 21, H&M, etc. and instead do research to find sustainable fashion choices in your town or online

Buy or DIY eco friendly versions of things you use often such as deodorant, toothpaste, wooden toothbrush instead of plastic, safety razor instead of plastic

Stop buying brand new phones, fashion styles, or cars just because it's the latest and greatest or it's the trend. Instead find something that will last longer or a collection of clothing that leans less on flash in the pan trends and more on function, comfort, and the ability to make many outfits

Although I still eat meat, I want to eventually transition so that my diet doesn't revolve around meat. You can have delicious meals that aren't focused on meat being the main course
