What case detail, no matter how small or odd, disturbed you the most?

I think I can shed some light on this. For the record, I am not one of those people who denies that Sandy Hook happened. However, I think that the way that the state legislature immediately acted to prohibit FOIA requests certainly helped throw fuel on the conspiracy theory fire. I think the way that the school was quickly bulldozed contributed as well. For better or worse, there are a lot of people who would love to visit the site and go over official documents of the incident. Basically, the kind of person who subscribes to this very sub.

When you shut that down and disallow people being able to get information about such a heavily publicized event, some of those people are going to construct a conspiracy to fill that void. And the fact is, shootings have been staged in several countries to advance political agendas in the past (a good example took place in Mexico City in the 1960s if I recall correctly), so it’s not like all of the theories are terribly fantastic (even though many of them are).

To me, the way that the government shut down the flow of information in this case really is a case study on how to foster conspiracy theories. Reasonable minds feel free to disagree.
