What is a cause of death you certainly don’t want to die from?

Nothing quite so direct, friend.

I'm told the family line began proper when a man had a bit of a disagreement with his neighbour. Apparently the neighbour had killed the man's son, which he was naturally rather displeased about.

The father got his blade and hid under the neighbour's outhouse, and when that esteemed gentleman sat down to do his deed, the father gave him the treatment u/GermanAutistic so feared.

Naturally, he now had to flee the region. I was told he set out with a boat and landed on an arc-shaped islet. As was appropriate for the time, he chose a surname to fit his new home. In Swedish, "the arc" becomes "bågen", and an islet are called "holm", hence "Bågenholm".
