What caused you to laugh the hardest you’ve ever laughed?

I was helping my dad with a job at this new commercial clients place, a chance for future work at multiple sites on the cards. We met the main man and he showed us to the issue they were having and we went about inspecting whilst this client stood chatting about all the potential work.

My dad jumped up on a work surface, stood with his feet about head height to us on the ground. He was wearing one big work boot and one fancy dress shoe, both black.

As soon as I spotted this I was fighting wave after wave of fits of laughter, doing my best to be professional and keep it bottled up. The main man from this company had these two odd shoes only a few feet away from his face and seemed to have not spotted it. One bulbous black steel toe capped boot and one flat as a pancake black dress shoe. It looked like a clowns funeral attire.

Somehow, I kept myself together by walking around the room pretending to be busy. This main man either never spotted it or was highly controlled. He excused himself after a few minutes and left us to it. I pointed out the wardrobe error to my dad and we cried in happy silent laughs for a good 10 minutes.

Maybe not the greatest moment of laughter ever but it still gets me whenever it pops back into my mind.
