Despite popular belief on Reddit, I think Seth MacFarlane is a decent human being. Hear me out before you downvote cause if I can change one haters mind, that would be cool.

• He once worked 7 days a week for 15 months straight and had to be hospitalized for exhaustion. He's mentioned that he is chained to his desk a lot of the time. In between days on set of A Million Ways to Die in the West he was recording voices for Family Guy and writing a book. You cannot say he hasn't worked hard to get what he has.

• He is an atheist who used his pull with Fox to get Cosmos on air.

• He pledged $1 million to Reading Rainbow

• He says that "he stays busy to avoid the other parts of his life" and I think that is something a lot of people can relate to. Being busy is his vice.

• The guy seems like he runs the line between extrovert/introvert, but just has good connections and social skills. Other celebrities have mentioned that he will listen to music or read and say nothing for hours. He's not always this brash loud mouth the public seem to think he is.

• He is polite to paparazzi who bother him on the street. He's tried to run away from them a few times because they hassle him and he wants to be left alone.

• He has kept a lot of writers working, provided a lot of jobs to a lot of people with the empire he has built.

• He had a cat. I mean yeah you can be an asshole if you have a pet, but he was pro animal rights in A Million Ways and that's cool.

• He participated in the writers guild strike in 2007-08 so he's no strangers to standing up for what he believes in. A lot of people cannot say the same. He also speaks at Universities and political rallies.

• He gets a lot of hate for his shows on Reddit, however it's the guys job to create them. His job... and if you dislike his formulas, I personally think that is envy. Like any other person on Earth, he found a formula that makes him the most money with the least perceived effort (again, the dude works fucking hard).

• Similar to the previous point, he does have a team of writers, so while he might okay the scripts and the cutaways, he doesn't write all of them. No hate is directed toward his team for their terrible work, he gets all of it because he is the face of the shows. Comes with the terriroty of being rich and famous though so tuff luck.

All in all, I think he's got his flaws, but he's not a giant dick like Reddit makes him out to be.
