What is Columbia like?

As someone who was born and raised in the north then lived in Texas for 5 years now living by Columbia. The summers here are not bad at all compared to the 100 degree dry heat of Texas. It’s great if you want your own space and a quiet place to live. I will say that people are way more friendly and approachable in the south. Also the fried food here is awesome! It easy for people who live here to hate it because most have never lived anywhere else and have nothing else to compare it too. ( Not directed at anyone here in the comment section). People hate the night life here but it’s not that bad but giving the current situation is the night life good anywhere? Love going to the beach on weekends and not driving 8+ hours across Texas anymore. Overall I enjoy the life here and I’m never leaving!
