Lol are you for real. So tailoring an actor's brand is "nefarious"? What a joke.
The fact that those consultants were actively trying to hide the truth
What truth are you talking about? They weren't hiding any truth. There was no "real" Shia Lebeouf. That is nonsense. The dude is who he is. He wasn't hiding any alter persona. Op is suggesting that the guy changed his name and tried to tailor his public image to become more successful as an actor. That is not a conspiracy. That is an extremely normal course of an entertainer's career trajectory.
I don't have to "think" what a conspiracy is. I'll just grab their irrefutable definitions. A conspiracy by definition is "a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful." A conspiracy theory is "a belief that some covert but influential agency (typically political in motivation and oppressive in intent) is responsible for an unexplained event". Explain how an actor changing his name and learning to be more appealing to their audience can remotely fit in either of those definitions?
mislead the public makes it a pretty nefarious conspiracy, too.
And misleading the public? What are you talking about? What does that even mean? Explain how Shia LeBeouf's situation is misleading anyone of anything. If I go out and get a tan am I misleading the public? And I hiding the truth of my pale skin? Is that a conspiracy? If I go and take public speaking lessons is that a conspiracy to hide the "truth" of my stage fright? Obviously not, all that is absurd.
A group of image consultants working toward a common goal is a conspiracy.
This is unequivocally ridiculous. I guarantee you the vast majority of high profile, public figures go through brand/image consulting. You are suggesting that they are all part of conspiracies. I hope the absurdity of that isn't lost on you
