Ex-girlfriends dad and brother were like this. Her family would invite me over, and her mom would make this amazing dinner, and every time my girlfriend and I would be the only ones helping her clean up the table, and do dishes. They’d just sit there while she’d start cleaning everything or go watch TV. When I’d start helping with everything, her dad and brother would look embarrassed, and then almost seemed offended, as if I only did it because I thought I was better than them or something. I’d help because the idea of just sitting there and not helping made me feel like gigantic douchebag.

They’re a couple of horses asses so it’s nothing shocking, but it always made me feel really bad for her mom. She was so used to dealing with these clowns that it was just normal to her to be their personal servant.
